In the 1968 film, The Power, directed by Walter Lantz's good friend George Pal, a Woody Woodpecker toy can be seen in the window display of a toy store. The toy winks at the camera and then tries to squirt water at George Hamilton’s character.
The "Woody Woodpecker" toy is a fairly standard Drinking Bird Toy with feathers on it's head instead of a top hat.
