Woody Woodpecker Aeroplane[1] is a 1995 coin-operated children's ride manufactured and released by British kiddie ride manufacturer, Jolly Roger (Amusement Rides) Limited, then based in Louth, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. It is the first ride in Jolly Roger's Woody Woodpecker series of coin-operated kiddie rides, and was introduced at the ATEI (Amusement Trades Exhibition International) show in London on January 24, 1995.[2] It was later distributed to the United States by Minnesota-based amusement machine company, Theisen Vending.[3][4][5]
The ride is a single-seater airplane kiddie ride with rocking motion, a steering wheel, two elevator tab lights, music, and a sound effect button, with figures of Woody Woodpecker and Chilly Willy riding in the passenger's seat of the plane. When riding, the child assumes the role of a pilot flying the airplane.
In the ride, Woody can be seen holding a flag with his own logo, while his other arm rests against Chilly Willy's shoulder.

Songs[]
- Opening Theme Song, The Woody Woodpecker Show (1987) [main ride music]
- "Woody Woodpecker Theme", Woody Woodpecker Album [Laugh sound effect only]
Notes[]
- The ride is dubbed as an "aeroplane" due to being manufactured in the United Kingdom. It is the British term for "airplane".
- It ran on the System 2000 hardware by Stamar Electronics
- The very earliest production units of this ride had a yellow-painted base with Woody's name displayed in red. Later on, they were switched to red bases, and Woody's name was now yellow. Other subsequent changes included altered eyes for both Woody and Chilly figures.
- In the earliest rides shipped with System 2000, the theme song was cut short past the first few seconds and had Woody's laugh play three times through the ride music itself. In 1996, it was given a new System 2002 timer with a longer, higher quality version of the theme, with Woody's laugh now only heard in attract mode or when a button was pressed.
- The attract sound on the first System 2000 variant is the first few seconds of the theme song and Woody's laugh. In the System 2002 version, the theme song was extended by a few more seconds up to the first snare drum of the song. These snippets of the song are not actually heard while the ride is moving.
- The ride is alternatively named simply Woody & Chilly[4], due to the logo prominently displayed on the base. Walter Lantz's name is also featured on top of the logo, although he had passed away nearly one year prior to the ride's London debut.
Woody Woodpecker Aeroplane was followed by a Fire Truck ride, released three years later, in May 1998.
