A sticker of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit appears on Hiro's ceiling, at a little over 27 minutes into the Disney animated movie, Big Hero 6.
Oswald in Big Hero 6[]
The sticker of Oswald on Hiro's ceiling is easy to see. A little after 27 minutes into the film, Hiro falls and looks up at Baymax, and the sticker can be seen on the left side of the screen. The film returns to this angle several times during the scene, so there's many opportunities to spot the sticker.
Universal to Disney[]
The shorthand to understanding what happened with Oswald is that Walt Disney, at the time they were making the Oswald Shorts in 1927 and 1928, was just a man working on cartoons distributed by Universal Pictures. Walt Disney wanted more money, and Winkler Pictures wanted to pay less, so Walt Disney left Universal to start his own studio. Universal retained Oswald, which they owned, and had Walter Lantz take over the series. Walt Disney started producing Mickey Mouse cartoons instead.
In 2006 Universal traded Oswald to Disney in exchange for sportscaster Al Michaels. Since the trade, Oswald has only appeared in a few Disney projects.
